Barbara departed from this world on March 5, 2026, at the age of 72. She was born on February 28, 1954, in the warm embrace of Guelph, Ontario, to her loving parents, Matthew and Gladys Kelly, who have predeceased her, along with her two cherished brothers. Barbara, affectionately known as Barb to her family and friends, was a guiding light whose presence enriched the lives of those around her. Her journey through life was marked by an unwavering spirit, a keen intellect, and an unyielding optimism that endeared her to everyone she met. She was the beloved wife of Ben, with whom she shared nearly 48 beautiful years of marriage, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Barb's legacy of love continues through her devoted sons, Dan and Matt, who carry forward her values and kindness. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Sarah, and her two treasured grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye and the source of immense joy in her life. As a family, they take solace in the countless memories and the lasting impact she made on them. Educated and dedicated, Barb initially worked for the City of Kamloops before pursuing her true calling in nursing, a career that took her from British Columbia to Ontario and back, where she provided compassionate care and support to countless individuals. Her professional journey was marked by her no-nonsense approach, yet she always maintained a sunny disposition and easy-going nature that made her both respected and beloved by colleagues and patients alike. A true artisan at heart, Barb was a gifted seamstress, painter, and designer, bringing to life the most imaginative and enchanting Halloween costumes. Her creative talents were an expression of her vibrant personality and her zest for life. She took immense pleasure in crafting pieces that brought smiles and joy to those around her. In honoring Barb's giving spirit, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to Diabetes Canada, an organization close to her heart.
