Barbara departed this world peacefully on April 3, 2026, at her home in Oklahoma City, surrounded by the warmth and love of her cherished family. Barbara was born on June 16, 1942, in Oklahoma City, a place she called home throughout her life. She was the cherished daughter of Paul and Grace Levan, whose love and guidance shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. Barbara's early years were filled with laughter and joy, shared with her sister, Dorothy Garrett, who preceded her in death, leaving behind fond memories of their sisterly bond. In her lifetime, Barbara touched countless lives with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering strength. A dedicated and loving mother, she raised her children, Phillip Pruitt and Lisa Jeffro, instilling in them the values of love, respect, and perseverance. Barbara's legacy is carried forward by her children, who continue to honor her memory through their own lives and families. Barbara's heart was a wellspring of love, and her family was her greatest pride and joy. She found immense happiness in her role as a grandmother to 17 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 8 great-grandchildren. Her home was always open, a place where laughter echoed and stories were shared, creating a tapestry of memories that will be cherished for generations. Throughout her life, Barbara's unwavering devotion to her family was matched by her deep love for her husband, Gerald. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership, a foundation upon which their family thrived. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Grace Levan, her sister Dorothy Garrett, and her son Vincent, whose memories she held close to her heart. Though her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, her spirit will forever guide those who knew and loved her. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on April 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home, Cemetery and Cremation, located at 500 Southwest 104th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73139. Family and friends are invited to join us in honoring her remarkable journey, sharing stories, and finding solace in one another's company.
