For over 50 years, Barbara dedicated her life to the Bibb County and Twiggs County school systems, enriching countless students' lives with her wisdom and encouragement. Even after officially retiring, her love for teaching was so profound that she continued to substitute until she was no longer able. Barbara believed in the power of education and encouraged everyone around her to think critically and "ALWAYS do research on everything."
An active and devoted member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church for over four decades, Barbara’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her beautiful smile and quick wit were known and loved by all who crossed her path. She was a woman who not only loved deeply but also inspired those around her with her sharp intellect and fierce love for her children.
Her family invites all who knew her to a celebration of her life on May 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, located at 133 Ward St., Macon, GA. In this sacred space where she found solace and community, we will gather to honor a life dedicated to service, love, and education.
