It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara G. Fears, a beloved mother, sister, and friend. Barbara departed this life peacefully at home on October 19, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on January 21, 1960, in Somerville, Tennessee, Barbara was a beacon of kindness and strength to all who knew her. Barbara was the cherished daughter of the Elmore and Connie Petrowski. She is predeceased by her father, Elmore Petrowski, and her beloved daughter, Brandy Fears, whose memories she held close to her heart. Left to honor and cherish her memory are her siblings, Terry Petrowski, Thomas Petrowski, and Tim Petrowski-Woo along with his spouse, Matt. Her dear friend, Obie Ham, will also miss her greatly. For 42 years, Barbara dedicated her professional career to Walgreens, where she served as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Her colleagues and customers alike admired her unwavering dedication and the warmth she brought to her work. Barbara's commitment to helping others extended beyond her career, as she was known for her compassionate nature and willingness to lend a helping hand. Barbara's pride and joy were undoubtedly her two grandchildren, who brought immense happiness and love into her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, showering them with affection and wisdom. Her legacy of love and care will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held on November 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Holy Trinity Community Church United Church of Christ, located at 685 S Highland St, Memphis, TN 38111. Family and friends are invited to gather and share fond memories of a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Barbara's generous spirit and her lifelong commitment to helping others. Barbara will be remembered for her warmth, her dedication, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy will live on in our hearts forever.
