With hearts heavy yet filled with gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Barbara Faye Williams Greenway, who left this world on May 25, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on November 2, 1945, in Victoria, Texas, she was a cherished daughter of Loranza Artie Williams and Cardelia Faye Morris. Barbara faced her final days with the same courage and grace that characterized her life, succumbing to a prolonged battle with cancer and heart failure. Barbara's story is one of love, resilience, and unwavering faith. She was united in marriage to Joe Charles Greenway on June 12, 1963, in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. Together, they built a family rooted in love and support. Though she endured the profound loss of her beloved husband Joe, her daughter Debora Rogers, and her brothers David and Robert Williams, Barbara remained a pillar of strength for her surviving family. Her legacy continues through her daughters, Sandra Beckham, Brandy Thompson and husband Fulton, Beth Quintanilla and husband Michael, and her brother Artie Williams. Her spirit thrives in her grandchildren—Steven, Justin, and Charlie Rogers, Sierra Beckham, Breanna Cervantes, Felicia Allen, Kendra Kimmons, and Elijah and Lydia Quintanilla—and her eight great-grandchildren, Destany, Alyssa, Lila, Ira, Reese, Chandler, Ashton, and Charlotte. Barbara's extended family and friends, including her dear best friend Patty Myers, were a testament to the love and kindness she imparted on everyone she met. Barbara dedicated her career to healthcare, retiring from Pasadena ISD in 2011. Her role at the clinic in Pasadena High School was not just a job; it was a calling where she touched countless lives with her care and dedication. Her professional life was mirrored by her spiritual devotion as an active member of Rekindle Life Church, where her son serves as a Pastor. Her hobbies revealed a woman of diverse interests and deep faith. Barbara found joy in studying the Bible, engaging in discussions about the Lord and current events, particularly her fondness for President Trump. She was known for her culinary skills, particularly during the holidays, where she poured love into every dish she prepared. Barbara's character was defined by her patience, forgiving heart, and profound capacity for prayer. Her sweet and kind nature was a guiding light for her family, providing strength and inspiration through life's trials. Her resilience in the face of loss and heartache only served to highlight her purity of heart and unwavering faith. The family invites all who knew and loved Barbara to celebrate her life at a service on June 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Cypress Creek Funeral Home, located at 2000 Cypress Landing Rd, Houston, 77090.
