Barbara Dyle-Mitchem

January 19, 1952 — July 9, 2026

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Barbara Dyle-Mitchem on July 9, 2026, at her home, where she departed this world peacefully. Born on January 19, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri, Barbara was the cherished daughter of Robert John Mitchem and Glenda Faye Mitchem. Barbara's presence was a beacon of warmth and compassion, and her life was a testament to the love she so freely gave to her family and community. She was predeceased by her beloved Husband John Dyle Sr. Son John Dyle Jr. wife, Heather Park Hills Missouri Charles Dyle Husband John Loness Perryville Missouri April Dyle Boyer. Her grandchildren—Johnathan, Gordan, Tristan, Ricky, and Kasten—were the lights of her life, and she was affectionately known as the "best grandma ever." Married to John Dyle Sr. for an inspiring 51 years, Barbara and John built a life filled with love, dedication, and shared dreams, including the purchase of an airport in 1990. Together, they raised three children, and Barbara found great joy in nurturing not only her family but also the many school children she served as a devoted school cook for 30 years. Her kitchen was a sanctuary of comfort and care, where she shared her love through cooking and baking. With a heart as vast as her garden, Barbara found solace in tending to her plants and watching planes soar into the sky, a hobby she enjoyed throughout her life. Her Christian faith was a cornerstone of her identity, guiding her actions and interactions with fellow parishioners and community members. Though Barbara was home schooled, her education extended far beyond textbooks as she learned the values of hard work and family unity on her parents' farm. These values became the bedrock of her life, which she shared with her siblings who survive her, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A service to honor Barbara's remarkable life will be held on July 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Mitchem Cemetery, Picket, Arkansas. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Barbara's kindness are invited to join in celebrating the life of a truly wonderful woman. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in memory of Barbara Dyle-Mitchem, to continue the legacy of love and generosity she embodied throughout her life.
