In Loving Memory

Barbara Cooper
November 9, 1943 — October 8, 2026
Barbara Cooper, a beacon of love and warmth, peacefully departed this world on October 8, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on November 9, 1943, in St. Louis, Barbara lived a life that was as rich and vibrant as the fields she tended on her beloved farm.
Barbara was the cherished wife of the late Monroe "Bill" Cooper, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and adventure. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Debbie Brown and Billy Cooper, who were the lights of their lives. As a devoted mother and grandmother, Barbara played a significant role in the lives of her five grandchildren, nurturing them with boundless love and unwavering support. She was also blessed with the joy of seeing her family grow with six great-grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness.
Her home was a sanctuary where the aroma of her cooking invited everyone to gather at her table. Barbara's culinary skills were legendary, and she never let anyone leave her house hungry. Her passion for raising animals on the farm was matched only by her love for the simple pleasures of life, and she was known for her contagious smile that could light up even the darkest days.
Barbara is predeceased by her beloved husband, Monroe Cooper, and her dear grandson, Michael Brown. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be cherished by her surviving family: her daughter Debbie, her son Billy, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In accordance with her family's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Barbara's life. The family kindly asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice in Barbara's memory.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have reached out during this difficult time. They will be contacting those who were close to Barbara to arrange a date for scattering her ashes in the spring, as a final tribute to her love of nature and the life she so dearly cherished.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Barbara Cooper welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
