BARBARA ANN BARRIERE
October 28, 1935 — October 28, 2026
Barbara Barriere, a beloved matriarch and spirited individual, passed away on October 28, 2026, on her 91st birthday. Born in Flushing, New York, on October 28, 1935, Barbara was an example of strength and independence, qualities her loved ones admired throughout her life.
The daughter of John and Anne Mason, Barbara grew up alongside her siblings Tommy, Buddy, and Eleanore, all of whom predeceased her. Her early years in New York were full of family and close friends, and memories made that she would reminisce on often.
Barbara's life was a testament to resilience and dedication. She faced challenges with unwavering courage and an unyielding determination, always prioritizing her children’s needs above her own. As a mother to Ann-Marie Gagliardi, Thomas Barriere, and Kim Baker, she instilled in them the values of hard work and independence. Her legacy is carried forward by her four grandchildren, Mia Gagliardi, Lisa Negron, Brad, and Brent King, who will remember her for her love, outspoken nature, and unique personality.
Barbara found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in spending time with her family. Her famous spaghetti and meatballs, her infectious laughter and lively conversations will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Barbara Barriere will be remembered as a woman who lived life on her own terms, with a heart full of love and a spirit that touched everyone she met. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends, who will hold her close in their hearts.
