Barbara Ann Martin-Broadus (Davis) transitioned to be with the lord on June 14,2026 at the age of 77. She was born on February 27, 1949, to the late William (Bill) Martin and Gladys Fields-Martin-Broadus in Joplin Missouri. Barbara is the oldest of 10 children. She grew up in a loving family that was grounded in treating people the way you want to be treated and biblical values. She graduated from McAlester High School in McAlester, Oklahoma in 1967. She attended Oklahoma University focusing on nursing and later moved to Los Angeles, California to live with Aunt Vanilla. There she got her degree in nursing while working for AT&T and later worked at Mt Sinia as a surgical tech for 20 years. She married Dale Davis Sr, and in their union, had Dale Jr. She worked at Encino Hospital in Encino CA. She moved to Tulsa Oklahoma in 1992 and retired form St Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Then later she moved to Omaha Nebraska in 2011 to be with her son and grandchildren She is survived by her former husband, Dale Davis Sr. son Dale Jr. and wife (Phyllis) grandkids 'Tondeleya Lott, Devanta Davis and wife (Alyssa), and Tatiana Davis. Great-grandchildren TaVaisya, Kai, Zinniya, Andre, JJ, Alayah, and Princeton. Barbara “loved” Jesus Christ, became a Christian at an early age in Joplin where she was baptized at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and used her gifts passionately all her life. She was a violinist and played the piano for the church choir.
