October 15, 1946 — October 25, 2026

Barbara Ann, a cherished daughter, sister, wife, educator, and friend, peacefully passed away on October 25, 2026, at Bayview Nursing Home. Born on October 15, 1946, in the serene environs of Sutherland's Bluff, Georgia, Barbara's life was a testament to dedication, warmth, and the joy of learning. Barbara was the beloved daughter of Preston and Mary Arthur Rozier, whose nurturing spirit and values she carried throughout her life. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Roland, Robert, and Daniel Rozier, and her devoted husband, Bud Frankenthaler, with whom she shared 20 blissful years of marriage. Barbara's early years in Sutherland's Bluff were filled with love and laughter, growing up alongside her surviving siblings, Deonne R. Cave and James A. Rozier. Her family was always her greatest treasure, and she cherished her connections with her many nieces and nephews, ensuring that family gatherings were filled with joy and stories. Education was Barbara's passion, and she pursued it with vigor, graduating with honors from Darien High School, then attending Brunswick Jr. College, and finally obtaining a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University. Her 25-year career as an elementary educator was marked by her dedication to nurturing young minds, leaving an indelible impact on her students. Beyond the classroom, Barbara's love for music and singing found expression in the Mass Choir in Hinesville, Georgia. Her green thumb as a Master Gardener led her to assist churches and various organizations with their planting projects, a testament to her love for nature and community. Barbara's commitment to service extended to her active involvement in the Republican Party, where she served as a delegate from Hinesville and as president of the Women's Republican Party of Wayne County. Her faith was central to her life, and she was a devoted member of the Jesup Presbyterian Church and a proud Gideonite. Travel and historical exploration were among Barbara's favorite pastimes, and she found immense joy in discovering new places and learning about the world. Her quick smile and infectious laughter made her a delight to be around, and her vast knowledge on a myriad of subjects made her conversations both interesting and enlightening. Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and service. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Bayview Nursing Home for the compassionate care they provided during her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Barbara's memory to a charity of your choice. Her life was a shining example of kindness, dedication, and love, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
