Barbara Andrews, born on July 10, 1953, in the sunny town of Fresno, California, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her life and many cherished memories. Born to Beverly Chinas and Robert Litzler, Barbara was the beloved last member of her immediate family, having been predeceased by her cherished parents, and a brother, Lee Litzler.
Barbara’s journey through life was marked by her passion for education and her deep-seated desire to help others achieve their dreams. After graduating with a teaching degree from the University of Washington Tacoma, she dedicated her early career to nurturing young minds as an elementary school teacher in Enumclaw. Barbara also had a love for genealogy and spent long hours researching her family history. She had family members in the Civil War as well as the 1776 Revolution. She was very proud of her genealogy work.
On June 30, 1988, Barbara's life was forever enriched when she married Carl Andrews. Together, they shared 39 beautiful years, filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures. Barbara and Carl found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often expressed through their shared love of cooking and attending concerts. Their bond was a testament to their shared joys and unwavering support for each other.
Barbara was known for her compassionate spirit and her unwavering dedication to helping those in need. She spent countless hours ensuring that the homeless in her community had access to food and support, embodying a selflessness that was admired by all who knew her. Her love for flowers was reflective of her vibrant personality and her ability to find beauty in the world around her. Barbara's knockout smile had the power to lift the spirits of everyone she encountered, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and kindness.
Barbara leaves behind her devoted husband, Carl, who will carry her spirit with him always. Also a loving son Brendan, 38 years old. Barbara loved being a mother, she lavished all her charm and intelligence on Brendan. He was her pride and joy. She also has a beautiful Golden Retriever by the name of Ruby, whom she loved with all her heart Her legacy of love, compassion, and service to others will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
