It is with profound sadness and a celebration of a life beautifully lived that we announce the passing of Barbara “Bobbi” Thuneman, who departed this world peacefully at home on June 6, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on September 12, 1930, in Long Beach, California, Bobbi was a beacon of love, wisdom, and kindness, whose legacy will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
Bobbi’s journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her insatiable curiosity about the world around her. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Jack Thuneman, on November 4, 1950. Together, they shared an extraordinary 75 and a half years of marriage, a testament to their enduring love and commitment. Their life together was blessed with two children, John and Lynne, with whom they built a family life filled with laughter, learning, and love.
Bobbi and Jack began their married life in Lakewood, California, before venturing to Parker, Arizona, in 1971, and eventually settling in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, in 1991. Each place they called home was filled with warmth and hospitality, creating a welcoming environment for family and friends.
An avid and passionate reader, Bobbi found joy and solace in the pages of a good mystery or crime series. Her lifelong love for reading not only provided her with countless hours of enjoyment but also kept her mind sharp, curious, and incredibly bright throughout her years. Her keen intellect and love of stories were shared generously with those around her, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Bobbi is survived by her devoted husband, Jack, who stood by her side through all of life’s triumphs and challenges. She leaves behind her son John (Judy) Thuneman and daughter Lynne (Tony) Facciuto, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Jeff (Jamie) Thuneman, Jason (Lia) Thuneman, Shana Facciuto, and Tony (Samantha) Facciuto, and her many great-grandchildren Tyler, Rilee, Stellan, Landon, Jacob (Ashton) Facciuto, Kayla Facciuto (Devon), and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Each of them carries forward her spirit, her kindness, and her love.
In remembrance of Bobbi’s compassionate nature, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice, in gratitude for the exceptional care and support they provided in her final days. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Hospice and her personal caregivers for their dedication and compassion.
