Averi cook
March 20, 2000 — February 18, 2026
In the gentle embrace of a late winter's day, we bid farewell to a vibrant soul, Averi Cook, who left us on February 18, 2026, at the tender age of 25. Born on March 19, 2000, in Cleveland, Ohio, Averi brought light and laughter to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A cherished daughter of Avery Cook and Angel Watkins, Averi was a beacon of joy and kindness. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she left behind, including her beloved siblings Averioni, Avia, Averiele, Ariana, Avery, and Demetrius.
Averi's educational journey began at John Hay High School, where she graduated with honors, her intelligence and dedication setting her apart. Her pursuit of knowledge took her to Bowling Green State University, where she further distinguished herself, earning a degree that would serve as a testament to her hard work and determination.
Professionally, Averi found her calling as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA). Her compassion and empathy were evident in every patient interaction, and she was deeply committed to her role. Yet, her heart harbored an even greater dream—to become a veterinarian, a path she was passionately pursuing. Her love for animals was unparalleled, and she devoted countless hours volunteering at the local animal shelter, offering her time and tenderness to creatures great and small.
Averi possessed a zest for life that was contagious. Her laughter, a symphony of joy, could light up the darkest room. She had an innate ability to find humor in everyday moments, always ready with a joke or a smile that could lift the spirits of those around her. Her creativity found expression in her love for painting, where she captured the beauty of the world with every brushstroke. Traveling was another of her passions, and she embraced each new adventure with enthusiasm and wonder, eager to explore the world and all its wonders.
Averi's legacy is one of love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to making the world a brighter place. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, yet her spirit endures in the memories we cherish and the stories we share. Her life, though brief, was rich with love, laughter, and kindness—an example for us all to follow.
As we gather to celebrate Averi's life, let us remember her with the warmth and joy she brought to ours. May we carry forward her legacy of compassion and humor, ensuring that her light continues to guide us even in her physical absence.
Rest in peace, dear Averi. You will be forever missed and eternally loved.
