Autumn Lisa Leanne cowsert
April 3, 2021 — March 12, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Autumn Lisa Leanne Cowsert, who left this world far too soon on March 12, 2026. Born on April 3, 2021, in Huntsville, Alabama, Autumn graced the lives of her family and all who knew her with her radiant spirit and infectious joy.
Autumn was the cherished daughter of Matraca Rucker and Joshua Cowsert. A true daddy’s girl, she adored her father deeply, but her bond with her mother was simply unbreakable. The love and laughter they shared were the heartbeats of her short, yet profoundly meaningful life. Autumn was always ready to brighten a room with her smile, a testament to the happiness she spread to those around her.
Though she was only four, Autumn was a vibrant presence in New Hope, where she lived and was known for her vivacious personality and endearing nature. Her laughter was contagious, and she had a way of making everyone feel special. The anticipation of starting school next year was a joy she looked forward to, already leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
Autumn had an extraordinary love for her nanny and papa, a love that transcended the ordinary bonds of family. Her time spent with them was filled with warmth and affection, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Her favorite sayings, "I ain’t no sucker" and "You ain’t my mommy," will forever echo in the hearts of her loved ones, a reminder of her playful spirit and delightful sense of humor.
Preceded in death by her brother John, beloved grandmother Dolly Rucker, grandfather Marvin Rucker, and aunt Leanna Rucker, Autumn is now reunited with them, surrounded by their love and care. She leaves behind her heartbroken parents, Matraca and Joshua, who will remember her as the light of their lives, a light that will never fade.
A celebration of Autumn’s life will be held on March 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Bobby Sanders, located at 2411 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville, AL 35810. Family and friends are invited to gather and share in the warmth of her memory, honoring the beautiful life she lived and the immense love she gave.
Autumn was loved beyond measure and will be truly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Though her time with us was brief, her impact was profound, and her memory will be cherished forever.
In the words of her family: "She was loved and she will be truly missed by everyone. There was never a dull moment with her. She always wanted her mother and some candy. She wasn’t no sucker, so she said." May her memory be a blessing and her spirit find eternal peace.
