It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Austin Lee Cunningham, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend. Austin left this world unexpectedly on March 20, 2026, at the age of 30, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on February 28, 1996, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Austin was a spirited and kind-hearted individual from the very start. He was the treasured son of Christina Heinbaugh and Robert Cunningham Jr. Austin is survived by his daughter, Liliah Cunningham, parents Christina Heinbaugh and Robert Cunningham Jr, brothers Dakota Carmack, Brandon Carmack and Luke Cunningham, sister Maggie Cunningham, grandparents Edie Cunningham and Karl Macnamee, and Robert Cunningham Sr. Austin was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Garry and Shirley Carmack. Austin found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending time with family, working on cars or spending time with friends. Those who knew Austin remember him for his infectious laughter, his kind soul, and his unwavering generosity. He had an incredible ability to make everyone around him feel valued and loved, a gift that will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A service to honor and celebrate Austin’s life will be held on March 28, 2026, at 11:00 Am at the Clayton Memorial Church of God at 6701 Charlestown Road Mercersburg PA 17236. Prior to memorial family and friends are invited from 10 until 11 am to gather and share stories, laughter, and tears as we remember a life that touched so many. Though Austin's time with us was far too short, his spirit will live on through the memories we hold dear and the love he shared with all who knew him. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the comfort that he will forever be in our hearts, watching over us with his gentle smile. Austin Lee Cunningham will be deeply missed, but the impact of his kindness and love will remain with us always. May he rest in peace, forever in the embrace of the loved ones who went before him.
