June 3, 2011 — June 29, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Aspen Nicholas Krull on June 29, 2026. Aspen, a vibrant and talented young soul, left us too soon, at the tender age of 15, in his hometown of Macomb, Illinois. Born on June 3, 2011, Aspen was a beacon of light and creativity from the very start. He attended Macomb High School and Freak Butt Middle School, where he excelled not only academically but also in his passion for music. Aspen was an integral member of the school's jazz band, where he poured his heart and soul into every note, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who heard him play. Aspen's love for music was a guiding force throughout his life. Whether it was playing in the jazz band or exploring new compositions at home, music was his sanctuary. In addition to his musical talents, Aspen found joy in the art of knitting—a hobby that brought him peace and a sense of accomplishment. His enthusiasm for video games, particularly DELTARUNE, was infectious, as he shared this passion with his friends and family. Aspen's life, though short, was filled with laughter, creativity, and a unique perspective that touched all who knew him. His kind heart and gentle spirit will be remembered by those who loved him. Aspen had a special ability to see the world differently, often finding beauty in the most unexpected places. He is survived by his loving parents, his father, who, despite their challenges, shared in Aspen's life journey, and his mother, who supported him with unwavering love. Aspen is now reunited with his homeschooled friend, who predeceased him, in a place where they can share endless adventures. Though Aspen's departure was sudden and tragic, his legacy of kindness and creativity lives on. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of support, prayers, and kindness during this difficult time. Your presence and love have provided comfort and solace. A service to celebrate Aspen's life will be held on June 29, 2026, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the joy he brought to our lives. We invite all who knew Aspen to join us in remembering a remarkable young man who touched our hearts in ways words cannot fully capture. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to local music programs, nurturing the passion that Aspen held so dearly. As we say goodbye, let us remember Aspen for his love of music, his infectious smile, and his gentle spirit. Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time. As we remember Aspen Nicholas Krull, your support has brought us comfort. We are deeply grateful for your presence and love. Rest in peace, dear Aspen. You will forever be in our hearts.
