It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ashley Richards, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Born on June 16, 1983, in Burlington, Vermont, Ashley graced this world with her presence for 43 years, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her before she departed on July 28, 2026. Ashley was the cherished daughter of Michelle Richards and Nicademus Chambers. She was predeceased by her loving mother, Michelle, whose memory she held dear. Ashley is survived by her devoted sisters, Joselyn Chambers, Tory Mossey, and Briana Chambers as well as her brother Shaun Collette. Her legacy of love extends to many nieces, nephews, and countless friends who became family through the years. Ashley was a basketball star, known for her athletic prowess on the court and her sportsmanship off it. Her passion for the game was only rivaled by her love for those around her. She had an infectious smile that could light up the darkest room and a heart full of kindness, always seeking hugs and affection from those she loved. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression of joy and compassion. Though Ashley's time with us was far too short, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift the lives of those she leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in memory of Ashley's giving nature. As we bid farewell, we hold Ashley's memory close to our hearts, cherishing the time we had with her and celebrating the life she lived. May she find peace and eternal rest, forever embraced by the love she so freely gave.
