Ashley Daninne Clark, a cherished soul born on February 11, 1984, in New Haven, Connecticut, left this earthly realm on October 18, 2026, passing peacefully at home surrounded by love. She was the beloved daughter of Anna Marie Mcrae and James Curtis Steed, who instilled in her the values of kindness and resilience.
Throughout her life, Ashley was a beacon of warmth and compassion, qualities that endeared her to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Jesamine Ashley Clark, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. She also held a special place in the hearts of her numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, including Janasia Tatum, Marquise Baldwin, Ariana Clark, Malaysia Clark, and many more, each of whom brought her immense joy.
Though Ashley's grandparents and aunt, Vernell David White, Willene Steed, James Steed, and Ella David, predeceased her, she carried their love and wisdom with her throughout her life. Her family extends their gratitude to her aunts and uncles, Renee Baker, Angela Steed, Jennifer Stallworth (Henry), Dirk Steed, Roger Steed, Tim White (and Family), Janet Steed, Shirrlynn Covington, and Theodore Clark, for their unwavering support and love.
A vibrant spirit, Ashley found solace in her morning walks for coffee, a simple pleasure that brought her peace and reflection. Her friends, Jamaal Roberts, Kase Zigler, remember her as a steadfast companion whose laughter and kindness enriched their lives.
Ashley's life was a blessing to those fortunate enough to know her. Her memory is a treasure that will be cherished forever by her family and friends. She was a gift to this world, loved beyond words, and missed beyond measure. As we continue to navigate the days ahead, we take comfort in the belief that she is watching over us, her angelic presence offering guidance
