His extraordinary journey through life concluded at the age of 86, leaving a profound legacy that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Arvids’ life began in turbulent times, as his family courageously fled war-torn Europe, seeking refuge and new beginnings in the United States. Arvids was a man of many passions. An avid deep-sea fisherman, he often found solace and joy on the open water, where he could connect with nature and reflect on life’s simple pleasures. He also possessed a green thumb, tending to his garden with care and pride. An ardent sports enthusiast, Arvids was a dedicated fan of the New York Yankees and the New Jersey Giants, always ready to cheer on his teams with unwavering loyalty.
Though Arvids faced the heartache of losing his beloved wife Elizabeth and daughter Lisa, his spirit remained unbroken. He continued to be a source of strength and wisdom for his family, which includes his devoted children William, Cheryl, and Marcia, his cherished brother Karlis, and his treasured grandchildren and great-grandchild, who brought him boundless joy and pride.
