Arthur Williamburg

March 13, 2012 — October 5, 2026

Arthur Williamburg, a bright and talented young soul, was born on March 13, 2012, in the welcoming city of Calgary, Alberta. Arthur graced the world with his presence for 14 precious years, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. He passed away on October 5, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, kindness, and resilience. Arthur was the beloved son of Sophie and Gary Williamburg, who cherished every moment with their remarkable boy. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Andrew and Addison Williamburg, whose memories he held dear. Though his time was short, Arthur's life was rich with accomplishments and passions. He attended Saunders Secondary School and Byron Southwood Public School, where he was known for his exceptional talent in writing and drawing. An aspiring author, Arthur penned five books, each a testament to his vivid imagination and profound understanding of the world. Arthur was a gifted musician, his guitar playing resonating with emotion and skill beyond his years. He was also active in sports, enjoying the camaraderie and spirit of hockey, basketball, and baseball. His multifaceted talents brought joy to those around him, and his gentle spirit was a comfort to many. A devoted member of the Bayron Church, Arthur's faith was a guiding light in his life. He found solace and community within the church's embrace, embodying the principles of compassion and empathy. Though Arthur did not have the chance to pursue a formal career, he contributed to his community in his own unique way, often seen going door-to-door, offering to mow lawns with his characteristic smile and enthusiasm. Arthur's family would like to highlight the importance of kindness and understanding, as he experienced the harsh effects of bullying. In their message, they urge us all to stand against bullying, to protect and nurture the potential within every child, so that no more lives are lost to such a tragic fate. A celebration of Arthur's life will be held on October 29, 2026, at 10:11 a.m. at the Byron Funeral Home, located at 123 Boy Kisser St. Friends and family are invited to come together in remembrance and love. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Arthur's memory to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, an organization dedicated to preventing such tragedies and offering support to those in need. Arthur Williamburg will always be remembered for his radiant spirit, creativity, and the love he shared with the world. He will be profoundly missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire and uplift.
