With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Arthur Lee Coleman Jr., who departed this world on July 4, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on April 4, 1935, in the heart of Dallas County, Arthur's journey was one marked by love, resilience, and a steadfast commitment to his family and community. Arthur was the cherished son of Mr. Arthur Coleman Sr. and Mrs. Mattie Coleman. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mrs. Ethel Lee Coleman, and his siblings, Ernest Coleman, Claude Coleman, and Dannie Mae NeSmith, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. Arthur's legacy lives on in the hearts of his children: Deborah (Stanley) Langham, Marilyn Taleton, Shelia Watts, James (Patricia) Bryant, and Melvin Pettway. His devotion to family extended to his role as a loving brother to his surviving siblings, Hattie (James) Bumpass, Chris (Lee) Parker, Mattie (Joseph) LaDuna, Clay (Mittie Mae) Coleman, Carolina Kendrick, and Columbus Coleman. Arthur's heart was further filled with joy by his four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness. A man of strong faith, Arthur was an active member of Saint Peter Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama, where his life will be celebrated on July 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family are invited to gather at the church to honor his memory and reflect on the many ways he touched their lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of one's choice, continuing Arthur's legacy of generosity and compassion. Following the service, a repass will be held at 1104 Greenway Drive East, Mobile, Alabama, 36608, off Zeigler Blvd. in the Greenway Subdivisions. This gathering will be a time for family and friends to share stories, offer support, and celebrate the remarkable life of Arthur Lee Coleman Jr. Arthur's steadfast love, humor, and wisdom will be deeply missed but forever cherished. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the warmth of his spirit, knowing he is reunited with loved ones and embraced by eternal peace.
