Bud Delude

October 2, 1967 — February 10, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bud Delude. A beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Bud passed away peacefully on February 10th, 2026 at the age of 58. He was born October 2, 1967 in the quiet town of Madras Oregon, where he first opened his eyes to a world he would later fill with laughter. Bud was the first born son of Carol Searls and William F. Delude, who predeceased him. Growing up in Madras Bud had a lifelong love of the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and even working in the beauty of nature that was his constant companion. As a young man he led the JR Explorer with the local fire department and after graduating became a volunteer firefighter as well. He was a member of the Forestry Club participating in competitions around the state. Bud also had fond memories of helping with FFA. During these years Bud made lifelong friends, always glad to see and visit with anyone that had a moment. Professionally, Bud was a man of many talents, working primarily in the fabricating field. He was a welder, millwright, and diesel mechanic, working on LeTourneau equipment all over the Northwest for years. He last worked at Portland Airport where he made many friends. He was creative as well, making things for family and friends. Family was the cornerstone of Bud’s life. He leaves behind his loving daughter,Keira and her Husband Zach, stepson Tygh and his wife Dominique. Bud was a proud Papa to Kaden, Ryker, and Hunter, who will miss the love and laughter he shared with them. He is also survived by his brother Jason, and wife Alicia, niece Emma and nephews Anthony and Dakota. He has left an unfillable hole in the families lives. Bud’s mother, Carol, also survives him along with numerous aunts, cousins and a circle of friends who became family. His close “brothers from others” Eric and Jay miss him deeply. His big heart, generosity, kindness and willingness to help others were only matched by his ability to make others smile with his sense of humor. As we remember Bud, we celebrate his life, well lived and loved. He will be remember by those whose lives he connected with. A celebration of Bud’s life is being held where friends and family can share and remember the incredible man who left us all too soon. For now we hold him in our hearts and thoughts grateful to have known him. Rest in peace, Bud. Your spirit can roam free.
