His relentless pursuit of excellence took him across continents, earning various licenses and certifications from esteemed institutions in the United States, England, and Nigeria between 1976 and 2005. His career was as soaring as the planes he piloted. Arthur's professional life commenced as a Production Planner at Michelin Nigeria Limited in Port Harcourt, but his true calling was in the skies. From 1974 to 1980, he served as a Cadet Instructor-Pilot and then as a Flight Instructor at the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology in Zaria. His journey continued as a Senior First Officer and eventually an Airline Captain of Boeing 737 and Airbus 310 aircraft with Nigerian Airways Limited from 1981 to 1999. His leadership skills shone brightly as he took on the role of Deputy Director at the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority and later served as a Captain in both Kuwait Airways and ADC Airlines. Arthur concluded his illustrious career as Chief Pilot at Slok Air International in Gambia and as a B737 Training Captain at Aero Contractors, where he worked until his retirement. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Arthur was a man of diverse interests. He was an avid reader and a football enthusiast who embraced an active lifestyle. Yet, his deepest passion remained in the cockpit, guiding aircraft with skill and precision. Arthur's wisdom was boundless; he was intelligent, disciplined, and organized—a principled and conscientious leader. His guidance was sought by many, and he freely shared insights that transformed lives. He was a mentor, a pillar of strength, and a beacon of wisdom to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
