It is with a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Arthina Outland, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, who left this world peacefully at home on April 10, 2026, at the age of 51. Born on December 7, 1974, in the vibrant city of Monrovia, Liberia, Arthina's life was a testament to resilience, love, and the enduring bonds of family. Arthina was the cherished daughter of Fatu Johnson and the late Arthur Outland. She was deeply devoted to her family, which was the cornerstone of her life. Arthina's father, Arthur, predeceased her, and she found solace in the treasured memories they shared. Her unwavering connection to her mother, Fatu, was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life. As a sister, Arthina was a guiding light and confidante to her siblings Alvin, Edison, Monique, Lancelot, Emery, and Nicole. Her nurturing spirit and infectious laughter will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her. Arthina's love for her family was boundless, and she made it her mission to ensure they were always supported and surrounded by warmth and affection. Arthina's educational journey led her to Central High School, where she graduated with grace and determination. Her quest for knowledge was inexhaustible, and she instilled the same passion for learning in those around her. She believed in the power of education to transform lives and dedicated much of her time to encouraging others to pursue their dreams. A devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church, Arthina's faith was a guiding force throughout her life. Her selflessness and compassion were reflected in her unwavering commitment to her community and her church family. Arthina's kindness and generosity touched many lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. In remembrance of Arthina's beautiful life, a service to celebrate her memory will be held on May 2, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 747 Broad St. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and unyielding devotion. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Outland Family Memorial Fund in Arthina's honor. This fund, named after her beloved sibling Emery Outland, will continue Arthina's legacy of supporting those in need and uplifting her community. Arthina Outland's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, compassion, and resilience. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew her.
