Artesa Franklin, born on September 8, 1974, in the close-knit community of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Artesa was 51 years old, and her life was a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, marked by the love she shared and the family she cherished. Artesa was the beloved daughter of Leann and Joseph Franklin, who predeceased her, along with her brothers Mark, Tony, Rico, Luther, and Sammy Franklin. She was also preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Arielle Kent, and her dear son, Olajuwon Franklin. While her immediate family members have gone before her, Artesa's legacy lives on through her loving grandchild, who was the joy of her life. A woman of simple pleasures, Artesa found immense joy in cruising and spending time with her family. Her warmth and infectious laughter were a constant source of comfort and happiness to those around her. Artesa was known for her generous spirit and unwavering love for her family, which she nurtured with the utmost dedication and care. Artesa's life will be celebrated on June 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, located at 2240 S Mt Zion Rd, Greenville, Alabama. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor and remember the remarkable woman who touched their lives so profoundly. While Artesa is no longer with us, the memories she created and the love she imparted will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew her. Her strength, courage, and unwavering dedication to her family will forever be etched in the hearts of those left behind. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Artesa's memory to a charity of your choice, honoring her legacy of giving and kindness. As we bid farewell to Artesa, we hold close our memories of her infectious spirit, the warmth of her smile, and the love she so generously shared with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
