Arnold L. Whitehead, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on May 16, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 9, 1959 in the charming city of Savannah, Georgia, Arnold graced this world with his vibrant spirit for 66 remarkable years. Arnold was the cherished son of Lou and Mary Whitehead, who instilled in him the values of kindness and generosity that would define his life. He spent his formative years in Savannah, where his gift for making others feel welcome and valued became evident from a young age. Known for his quick wit and warm smile, Arnold had an uncanny ability to lighten the mood with a well-timed joke, leaving laughter in his wake wherever he went. His path intertwined with that of Janice Henry, with whom he shared a profound and enduring love. They were married on January 5th, 1992, in Hardeeville, South Carolina, embarking on a journey that would span 34 beautiful years. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared joys, raising four wonderful children: Kenneth, Marcus, Jacklyn, and Joyce. Arnold's family was the centerpiece of his life, and he was a devoted husband and father. His children were the pride of his heart, and he delighted in their accomplishments and adventures. As the family grew, Arnold found immense joy in his role as a grandfather to three precious grandchildren, whose laughter brought endless happiness to his days. Beyond his immediate family, Arnold is survived by his two beloved brothers, Jeremiah and Frank, who remember him as a constant source of support and camaraderie. His kindness and generosity have left an indelible mark on their lives and the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Arnold's legacy is one of warmth, compassion, and unfaltering love. He touched countless lives, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him. His presence brought comfort and joy, and his departure leaves a void that can never truly be filled. In accordance with Arnold's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his life and legacy. While it is a time of great sorrow for his family and friends, it is also an opportunity to celebrate the incredible person Arnold was and the enduring impact he made on the world around him. As we say goodbye to Arnold, we hold onto the laughter he shared, the kindness he bestowed, and the love that will continue to guide us. May his spirit find peace, and may we carry forward his legacy of warmth and generosity in our own lives.
