Arnaldo Rivera Rodriguez

July 17, 1940 — April 29, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Arnaldo Rivera Rodriguez, a beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend, on April 29, 2026. Arnaldo was born on July 17, 1940, in the vibrant town of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, to Manuel de Jesus Rivera and Belen Rodriguez, who instilled in him the values of kindness and generosity that he carried throughout his life. Arnaldo's journey was marked by a deep commitment to family, community, and faith. He dedicated many years of service to the Department of Transportation in Puerto Rico, before embarking on a new chapter in Florida in 1991. In Florida, he continued to impact lives with his dedication and warmth while working at Our Lady of the Lakes and J&J Security Services. His steadfast work ethic and genuine care for others left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A man of faith, Arnaldo was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Clare Catholic Church. His spiritual devotion was reflected in the way he lived his life, always extending a helping hand and an open heart to those around him. He never met a stranger, and his warm smile and quick wit made everyone feel at home. Arnaldo's passions were as varied as they were vibrant. An extraordinary cook, he found joy in sharing his love for food with everyone he met. His culinary creations were more than meals; they were expressions of love and connection. He also found joy in music, and his unique collection of 101 Dalmatian figurines and old coins spoke to his playful spirit and appreciation for life's little treasures. He is survived by his loving children: Arnaldo and Yadhira, Miguel and Elizabeth, Jorge and Damaris, and Jose and Ingrid, as well as his cherished nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Arnaldo's family was his pride and joy, and his legacy of love and laughter will live on in their hearts. Family, friends, and community members are invited to celebrate Arnaldo's remarkable life on May 8, 2026, at 4:00 PM at St. Clare Catholic Church, located at 2961 Day Rd., Deltona, FL, 32738. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, a cause dear to Arnaldo's heart. Donations can be made online at St. Jude Children's Hospital. As we bid farewell to Arnaldo, let us remember the warmth, generosity, and joy he brought into our lives. He leaves behind not just a legacy of love, but a reminder of the power of kindness and the beauty of a life well-lived. May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
