Arlene Vauncille Jenkins

Arlene Vauncille Jenkins, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great grand mother,passed away peacefully at her home on 2026, after a courageous battle with heart failure. Arlene was born on August 16, 1938, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to the late McKinnley and Alice Jordan. Her life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication. In July 26,1957, Arlene married the love of her life, Clifford Jenkins, in Madera, California. Together, they built a beautiful life, grounded in love and mutual respect, and shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. Their union was blessed with children who would carry on their legacy of kindness and integrity. Arlene's early years were spent in Oklahoma, and Madera CA where she was raised alongside her siblings Augustus, Alphonso, Allie Alfred, Samuel, and Howard, all of whom predeceased her. She pursued her education at Fresno City College, which laid the foundation for her professional journey. Arlene began working as a clerk at the Woolworth Department Store in the early 1970s, where she made many lifelong friends and became known for her warm smile and friendly demeanor. Later, she transitioned to a career as a bank teller, retiring from Bank of America in Oroville, California. Her colleagues and customers fondly remember her as a kind-hearted and dedicated professional who always went the extra mile. Family was the cornerstone of Arlene's life. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and the doting great-grandmother of eleven great-grandchildren. Arlene cherished every moment spent with her family, whether it was celebrating milestones, sharing stories from her past, or gathering for Sunday dinners filled with laughter and love. Her home was always a welcoming haven, filled with the of her kindness of never letting anyone go hungry and the sound of joyful conversations. Arlene was a woman of faith and found great comfort and strength in her beliefs. While Arlene's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew her, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift her family and friends. Her legacy of love, kindness, and perseverance will live on through the generations she has touched. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Arlene's memory to a heart health organization of your choice, as a tribute to her enduring spirit and the love she shared with the world.
