It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Arlene Sandra Wrightson, who departed this world peacefully at home on July 2, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Arlene, born on June 15, 1948, in Maryland, was a beacon of love and kindness to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Arlene was the cherished daughter of the late David and Miriam Goss. She was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Wayne Wrightson, and her precious granddaughter, Stephanie Perry. In the face of such profound losses, Arlene’s spirit remained resilient, and her heart, ever open. A devoted mother, Arlene is survived by her loving daughters, Michele and her husband Rodney Price, and Melissa and her husband Bob Horst. They were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her legacy of love and warmth continues through her three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Throughout her life, Arlene wore many hats with grace and dedication. She worked as a 411 telephone operator, where her friendly voice and helpful demeanor were appreciated by many. Later, she shared her skills and knowledge as a driving school instructor, guiding her students with patience and encouragement. Arlene had a zest for life that was evident in her hobbies and interests. She took great joy in crocheting blankets, each stitch a testament to her creativity and care. Her love for coloring and Mickey Mouse brought her happiness and a sense of playful nostalgia. Her home was filled with the warmth of her beloved kitties, who were her constant companions. Those who knew Arlene will remember her as a truly kind and loving person. She found immense joy in the simple pleasure of spending time with her family, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Her presence was a gift, and her love a treasure that will endure in the hearts of those she touched. In honor of Arlene's beautiful life, her family wishes to share a special message: "LOVE YOU ALL MY HEART." This sentiment captures the essence of Arlene's life—a life filled with boundless love and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. As we say goodbye to Arlene, we take solace in knowing that she is reunited with those she loved who have gone before her. Her spirit remains with us, a guiding light that will continue to illuminate our lives. A celebration of Arlene's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share stories of the remarkable woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a cancer charity of your choice, in tribute to Arlene's courageous spirit. Rest in peace, dear Arlene. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
