In Loving Memory
Arleen Raposa Wargat
April 19, 1955 — April 22, 2026
It is with profound sadness yet immense gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Arleen Raposa Wargat, who departed this world peacefully on April 22, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on April 19, 1955, in Fall River, MA, Arleen was the beloved daughter of the late Alice and Julio Raposa.
Arleen was blessed with a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and purpose. She was a graduate of Joseph Case High School, class of 1973, and furthered her education at Bridgewater State College, where she forged lifelong friendships and cherished memories.
A dedicated and diligent worker, Arleen spent many years as an accounts payable clerk at Princess House. Later in life, she embraced a new chapter by relocating to Jacksonville, Florida, where she contributed her talents to her brother's business, Frosty A/C and Heating. Arleen's career was marked by her unwavering commitment and her ability to bring warmth and kindness to the workplace.
Arleen was a proud member of Moose Lodge 455 and Elks Lodge 221, where she found community and camaraderie. Her passions extended beyond her professional life; she was an avid enthusiast of cooking, crocheting, rug hooking, and needle-crafts. Her creativity and skill were evident in the beautiful pieces she crafted with love. Arleen also had a zest for life that was palpable in her love for singing karaoke and dancing, activities that brought joy not only to her but to everyone around her.
Arleen was predeceased by her husband, Michael Wargat, her cherished daughter, Marsha Feno, her sister Mariann Waits, and her brother Julio Mark Raposa. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her surviving family: her devoted partner, Ray Sansoucy, her beloved grandson, Joey Feno, and her siblings Barbara Leonard, Kathleen Kocak, and Keith Raposa. She was a loving stepmother to Melanie Travassos and Julie Boas, and a dear friend to Cathy Tharp, with whom she shared many treasured memories.
Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Mayo Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, for their compassionate care and support during her final days. Arleen's life was a testament to the power of love and friendship, and her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
In honoring Arleen's life, let us celebrate the joy she brought into the world and the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit endures through the lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.
A memorial service to celebrate Arleen's life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to remember and honor the remarkable woman she was.
