It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Arleen Raposa Wargat, who left this world peacefully on April 22, 2026, at the age of 71. Arleen was surrounded by her loved ones during her final moments, a testament to the immense love and joy she brought to everyone who knew her. Born on April 19, 1955, in the charming town of Fall River, Massachusetts, Arleen was the cherished daughter of the late Alice and Julio Raposa. A spirited and compassionate soul, she spent her early years in a close-knit family, sharing her life with her siblings MariAnne Waits, Julio Mark Raposa, Kathleen Kocak, Barbara Leonard, and Keith Raposa. Arleen was a proud graduate of Joseph Case High School, Class of 1973, and furthered her education at Bridgewater State College, where she nurtured a lifelong love for learning. Her career as an Accounts Payable Clerk at Princess House, followed by her tenure at Frosty AC and Heating, was marked by dedication and professionalism, earning her the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. A devoted wife to the late Michael Wargat, Arleen was a beacon of love and strength for her daughter, Marsha Feno, and her beloved grandson, Joey Feno, who was the light of her life. In the later years, she found companionship and joy with her partner, Ray Sansoucy, who shared in her laughter and adventures. Arleen was a vibrant and active member of her community, contributing her time and talents to Moose Lodge 455 and Elks Lodge 221. Her passion for life was evident in her hobbies; she found peace and creativity in crocheting and rug hooking, as well as other needlecrafts. A lover of music and movement, Arleen delighted in karaoke and dancing, often bringing joy to those around her with her infectious energy. In addition to her immediate family, Arleen leaves behind her step-daughters, Melanie Travassos and Julie Boas, and her special friend, Cathy Tharp, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts. The family extends its deepest gratitude to the staff at Mayo Hospital Jacksonville Florida for their exceptional care and support during Arleen's final days. Their compassion and dedication provided comfort to Arleen and her family during this difficult time. Arleen Raposa Wargat will be remembered for her warmth, her unyielding spirit, and her boundless love for her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness and joy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of Arleen’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the extraordinary woman she was.
