October 24, 1982 — March 3, 2026
Arinza McCray, beloved father, brother, friend, and co-worker passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 43, when his heart gave out. Born on October 24, 1982, Arinza was a beacon of quiet strength and love, whose life was filled with rich experiences, cherished relationships, and boundless curiosity.
He was the cherished son of the late Henry James and Rosalie McCray James, who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion. Arinza navigated life with a quiet dignity, deeply mourning the loss of his infant daughter, Ethereal McCray, and his brother, Irving Durio, who predeceased him.
Arinza's heart was forever tethered to his surviving children, Celestial Rose McCray and Aquaries Michael McCray, both of California. His stepdaughter, Veronica Driscoll, and former wife, Faith Garcia, remained integral parts of his life. Together, they crafted a blended family narrative filled with love, resilience, and shared memories.
He is survived by his siblings: Barbara (Larry) Case of Virginia, Debra McCray of California, Eunice (John) Daniels, Dwight (Tanya) McCray of Washington, Fred (Joy) McCray of Utah, Starla McCray of Michigan, and Michael McCray of California. Arinza also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, including Tamara (Jared) Smith of Oregon, Quinton Daniels of California, Tyesha Moore of California, Felicia Daniels of California, and Zyair (Cindy)McCray of California. His extended family and friends were numerous and held close to his heart.
Arinza's professional journey was as diverse as it was fulfilling. He began his career at Walmart, where he met and married Faith Garcia. His career path later led him to Gallagher Bassett as a Claims Processor Clerk, a role he thrived in. He worked at Ramona Tire in Moreno Valley, CA. A man of many talents, Arinza returned to his roots in warehouse, working for notable companies like Amazon, The Home Depot, and finally, Lowe's Home Improvement in Lake Elsinore, CA.
An artist at heart, Arinza found joy in sketching and drawing, focusing on anime, science fiction, and fantasy. He instructed his brother Michael and later, with his daughter Celestial, nurturing her budding artistic talent. His intellectual curiosity was boundless, engaging in discussions on Christianity, philosophy, and science, offering profound insights to those fortunate enough to engage with him. He was a car tinkerer and that passion was carried over to his son Aquaries who is currently pursuing an Automotive Technology program degree at RCC.
Arinza's presence was marked by a warm smile from the heart. He was fiercely private, soft-spoken, and a deep thinker, qualities that endeared him to many. His thoughtful nature and genuine kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service to honor Arinza's life will be held on April 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Church of Christ Northside. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Lake Elsinore Lowe's team for their floral tributes and support and the household of Ruby Greer for ministering with food and prayers.
