ARCENIA ACEVEDO DE ALCAZAR

March 13, 1949 — August 30, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Arcenia Acevedo de Alcazar, who departed this world on August 30, 2026. Born on March 13, 1949, in Mexico, Arcenia was a cherished daughter of Salvador and Paula. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Arcenia leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be felt for generations. Arcenia's life was a testament to love, kindness, and generosity. Married to the late Arnulfo Alcazar, she was a devoted partner and a nurturing matriarch to her family. She is survived by her loving children, Janette, Manuel, Salvador, and Adrian, who carry forward her indomitable spirit and compassionate nature. Arcenia was also blessed with the joy of six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her career as a baker, beginning in 1969, brought sweetness not only to her family but to all who had the fortune of tasting her creations. Arcenia's culinary skills were renowned, and her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aromas of her delicious food, prepared with love and care. Arcenia found joy in the simple pleasures of life—crocheting with skillful hands, capturing memories through selfies, and coloring in shades of lilac, her favorite color. These hobbies were more than pastimes; they were expressions of her vibrant personality and zest for life. Her family, including her siblings and friends, remember her as a woman of immense warmth and kindness, whose laughter and love could light up the darkest days. Though Arcenia has joined her parents, Salvador and Paula, and her siblings Hermila, Salvador, and America Arnulfo in eternal rest, her spirit remains alive in the hearts of all who loved her. A service to honor Arcenia's beautiful life will be held on September 16, 2026, at 11:35 AM. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Inglewood Cemetery Mortuary, located at 3801 W Manchester Boulevard, to celebrate her life and bid farewell to a remarkable woman. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Arcenia's memory may make donations to a charity of their choice, as a tribute to her life of giving and compassion. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love and support during this difficult time. In the words of her family, "Love you, Mom. A part of me went with you."
