Antoinette 'Toni' Marie Reed, a woman whose life was a testament to joy, creativity, and unconditional love, peacefully passed away at North Kansas City Hospital following a years-long health battle. Born on February 5, 1954, in Philadelphia, PA, Toni's life was one of vibrant colors, laughter, and warmth. Toni's journey began at Abraham Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, where she graduated with the Class of 1970. Her high school years set the stage for a life filled with imagination and a commitment to bringing happiness to others. This dedication was evident in her career as a clown, where she brought joy to children at parties and community events. Her playful spirit and infectious laughter were gifts that left indelible marks on the hearts of many. On August 6, 1972, she married Thomas Cummings, with whom she welcomed her cherished son, Brian, on May 28, 1975. Motherhood was a role Toni cherished deeply, and her family always remained at the center of her life. Later, she married Samuel 'Sam' Reed in 2001, a partnership filled with love and adventure for 25 memorable years. Toni's adventurous spirit and love for travel were often shared with Sam, as they explored the beaches of Aruba and enjoyed countless cruises. Her creativity was boundless, expressed through her love for jewelry making and crafting, where she found joy in creating beautiful things with her hands. A woman of immense compassion, Toni had a special place in her heart for animals, dedicating years to fostering kittens and cats. Her home was a sanctuary for animals in need, and her nurturing spirit was a source of comfort and love for each one that came into her life. Toni is survived by her devoted husband, Samuel Reed of Kansas City, MO; her beloved son, Brian Cummings of Kansas City, MO; her three adoring grandchildren, Kailynn and Kimberly Cummings of Peculiar, MO, and Trey Cummings of Kansas City, KS; and her three cherished great-grandchildren, Abby, Chase, and Kori of Peculiar, MO. Toni's ability to create joy, her compassionate nature, and the memories she forged with those she loved will forever remain in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
