Antoinette Levasseur, a cherished wife, mother, Nana, and dedicated physician, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, in the presence of her loving husband. Born on August 31, 1952, Toni was the daughter of Ida (Bisa) and Daniel Toomey, who along with her sister, Danida Kane, preceded her in death. Antoinette is survived by her devoted husband, Ron Levasseur, with whom she shared a life full of love and laughter. She is also survived by her two daughters: Mary Gorman with her husband Josh and son Camden, and Victoria De La Cruz with her husband Davíd and their three children, Elijah, Arya, and Dominic De La Cruz, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. After a brief career at Caterpillar, Antoinette dedicated her professional life to the field of medicine in Peoria, IL, where she made a significant impact as a women's health physician. Her commitment to caring for others and improving the lives of her patients was unwavering, earning her respect and admiration from colleagues and patients alike. In retirement, Antoinette enjoyed her days in the sunny warmth of Naples, FL, alongside her beloved Ron. She found joy in early mornings and sunsets on the beach, as well as on the golf course and pickleball court, where her competitive spirit and zest for life shone brightly. While her family mourns her passing, they celebrate the extraordinary life she lived and the profound impact she had on those around her. Toni’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, as a testament to her kindness, compassion, and unwavering strength. Antoinette Levasseur will be deeply missed, but her spirit of love and service will continue to guide her family and friends always.
