In Loving Memory of Antoine Gillespie November 15, 1975 - June 10, 2026 Forever in Our Hearts! Today, we gather to celebrate the life of our beloved Antoine Gillespie-a son, father, brother, grandtather, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend whose love and presence touched so many lives. Antoine was born on November 15, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Cynthia and Johnnie Gillespie, who lovingly welcomed him into this world and have now welcomed him home. Although our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing he has been reunited with his parents in eternal peace. Antoine attended Abbott Elementary School before continuing his education at Englewood High School, where he pursued his passion for electronics. From an early age, he had a curious mind and enjoyed learning how things worked, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. As the second eldest grandson on both his mother's and father's side of the family, Antoine held a special place in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He was deeply loved, cherished, and yes-spoiled by many. His smile, his personality, and his presence brought joy to family gatherings and created memories that will last forever. One of Antoine's greatest blessings was becoming a grandfather. He had the joy of meeting his precious grandson, Baby K, a moment that filled his heart with pride and happiness. That bond was a gift he treasured. Antoine leaves behind a legacy of love through his beloved daughter, Ashanti T. Kemp (Keelan); his devoted sisters, Shanetta Gillespie (Bernard) and Gwendolyn Gillespie (Larry) along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. As Antoine entered the gates of Heaven, we can only imagine the beautiful reunion that took place. Waiting to welcome him with open arms were his beloved nephews, Kevontay Brown, Trinell Hill, and Kenneth Brown. What a joyful homecoming it must have been. While we mourn the loss of his physical presence, we celebrate a life that mattered. We will remember his laughter, his love, and the countless moments we shared. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to live on in every story we tell, every smile we share, and every memory we hold close. Antoine, your journey on earth has ended , but your legacy of love will never fade. You will be deeply missed by so many family members and friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing you. Rest peacefully until we meet again. **'Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day-unseen, unheard, but always.
