Anthony "Tony" Wade Jordan, passed away peacefully at his home on October 31, 2026, with his beloved wife, Janet, by his side. Born on August 13, 1946, in Kellogg, Idaho, Tony lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love. Tony was the son of the late James Jordan and Helen Schaffer. He was predeceased by both his parents and is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Janet (Peery) Jordan. Together, they built a beautiful life in Ada, Oklahoma, where they were blessed with two daughters, Shana Booth and son-in-law Kenny, and Kelly Belcher and son-in-law Weston. Tony is also survived by his five grandchildren: Jack Anthony Belcher, Creede Wade Booth, Eliza Kate Belcher, Wesley Booth and his wife Mandi, and Kody Booth and his wife Taylor, and seven great-grandchildren: Makenna, Aubrey, Kix, Kolt, Kason, Klay, and Kye. Tony is also survived by his three sisters, Celestine Rhodes (Ada), Deborah McGinnis, and Donita Jordan. Tony's early years were spent in Ada, where he graduated from Ada High School before pursuing a B.S. in Industrial Arts at East Central. His sense of duty and honor led him to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1969 to 1975. As a helicopter pilot, Tony reached the rank of Captain and served in Okinawa and Vietnam. Returning to Ada, Tony followed in his father's footsteps as an independent roofing contractor, a career he began at just 14 years old. For over 40 years, Tony took great pride in roofing many homes and businesses in the community. As he approached retirement, he joined his longtime friend Mike Mapp at Mapp Construction, where he continued to share his expertise and camaraderie. Tony's passions extended beyond his work. An avid fisherman, he found serenity on the lakes, sharing his love of the sport with his sons-in-law and grandchildren. His green thumb was evident in his expansive backyard garden, where he grew a bounty of vegetables to share with friends and neighbors. A lifelong learner, Tony was an enthusiastic reader with a keen interest in geography and world history. Though he carried the disciplined demeanor of a Marine, Tony was a man of unwavering loyalty, integrity, and humor. He believed firmly that a man's worth was measured by his word, a principle he lived by every day. A service to honor Tony's life will be held at Criswell Funeral Home, located at 815 Arlington Street, Ada, OK 74820. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Oncology department at Mercy Hospital in Ada and the dedicated nurses and staff of Elara Hospice for their compassionate care during Tony's final days.
