He departed from this world peacefully at home on his 58th birthday, July 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, love, and laughter. Anthony was the beloved son of Brenda Peet and Wallace Sanders, and he shared an unbreakable bond with his family. He was predeceased by his son, Antonio Sanders, whose memory he held dear. His spirit continues to live on in the hearts of his mother, Brenda, and his siblings Yolanda (Jose), Wallace Jr., Malcolm, Shawn, Andre', Tamekia (Larry), as well as his children Maurice, Darnell, and Tonnisha, Kumate' and Zaniah. Anthony was a devoted father and brother, always placing family at the forefront of his life. A man of many talents and interests, Anthony found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a remarkable ability to bring people together through his love for cooking, often preparing meals that nourished both body and spirit. Whether it was a family gathering or a community event, Anthony's culinary creations were a testament to his generous heart and his desire to spread warmth and happiness. Known for his infectious sense of humor, Anthony had an extraordinary gift for lightening the mood with a well-timed joke. His ability to make others smile was a reflection of his compassionate nature and his deep love for those around him. He was a beacon of kindness, always ready to lend a helping hand and show love to many. A service to celebrate Anthony's life will be held on July 31, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the City Of God Church, located at 1660 West Hill St. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Anthony are invited to join in honoring his memory and sharing in the stories and memories that made him so special. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Anthony's honor, as a tribute to his generous spirit and his lifelong commitment to giving back to the community. The Sanders family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends and family who provided unwavering support and comfort during this difficult time.
