With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anthony Lee Wales Sr., a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, who departed this world on May 26, 2026, at the age of 50. Born on August 20, 1975, in Milton, Florida, Anthony spent his life bringing warmth and compassion to those fortunate enough to know him. Anthony was the cherished son of Calvin Doyle Wales and the late Kathleen Allmond Barr. He is preceded in death by his loving mother, his dear brother William Wesley Barr, and his grandparents Willie and Margie Wales. Although his departure leaves a void, his spirit will continue to live on through the memories and love he instilled in his family and friends. Anthony’s legacy is lovingly carried on by his children: Angelique Wales (Hunter Peeterse), Willie Wales (Elizabeth Wales), Anthony Wales Jr. (Azianah Wales), EmmaLee Wales, and Adalynn Wales. He was a devoted grandfather to six grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. Anthony is also survived by his sisters, Jamie Smith (Aaron Smith) and Amber Lundy, and his father, Calvin Wales (Sally Wales). Anthony was a gifted carpenter, known for his ability to transform simple pieces of wood into works of art. His skill with a hammer and his eye for detail were unmatched, making him a respected figure in his field. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Anthony found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life—woodworking, fishing, and watching the sunset, activities that perfectly mirrored the tranquility and depth of his character. Those who knew Anthony will remember him for his big heart and unparalleled understanding. He possessed a kindness that extended beyond words, a testament to his belief in the inherent goodness of people. His compassion was a guiding light to many, offering comfort and support in times of need. In honor of Anthony's life and the values he held dear, his family wishes to share a special message: "You never know how much someone is struggling, always be kind." A celebration of Anthony's life will be held on a date to be announced, where family and friends can gather to share stories, laughter, and the love that he so freely gave. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that acts of kindness be performed in Anthony's memory, spreading the love and understanding that he embodied throughout his life. Anthony Lee Wales Sr. will forever be remembered as a beacon of love and kindness, a man whose legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
