It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Julius Williams Jr. Who departed from this world on September 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Anthony was born on March 3, 1942, in Baton Rogue, Louisiana, to loving parents, Anthony Julius Williams Sr. and Mattie Williams. He was the beloved patriarch of his family, a guiding light, and a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew him. Anthony married the love of his life Mary Alice Harbour August 4, 1971 in Houston, TX.
Anthony's life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and love. Raised in a household where values of hard work and compassion were instilled, he carried these principles throughout his life, touching the lives of many. Anthony was a dedicated family man, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Alice Harbour, his dear parents, Anthony Julius Williams Sr. and Mattie Williams, as well as his brother, Bernard Williams, and sister, Betty Scottsdale. Their memories were always close to his heart.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his children: James Harbour, Anthony Julius Williams III, Yvette Gilbert, and Renee Bains. Anthony was a proud grandfather to twenty grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren who brought immense joy and fulfillment to his life. He adored them deeply and took great pleasure in watching them grow, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams.
Throughout his life, Anthony was known for his unwavering dedication to his community and his compassion for others. He was a mentor and a friend to many, offering wisdom and support generously. His laughter was infectious, and his spirit was one that radiated warmth and positivity.
As we remember Anthony, we celebrate a life well-lived and are comforted by the legacy he leaves behind in his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His strength, resilience, and love will forever be remembered and cherished.
