November 13, 1957 — June 2, 2026

In loving memory, we honor the life of Anthony Joseph Vitek III, known affectionately as Tony, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his cherished family on June 2, 2026. Born on November 13, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland, Tony was a beacon of warmth and humor, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew him. Tony was the beloved son of the late Anthony Joseph Vitek Jr. and Sandra D. Brock. He is preceded in death by his parents and his dear younger brother, Michael. Despite these losses, Tony’s spirit remained resilient, buoyed by the love of his family and friends. On September 4, 1981, Tony married the love of his life, Donna Richardson, in a beautiful ceremony in their hometown of Baltimore. Together, they celebrated 45 years of unwavering love and companionship, raising four wonderful children: Melissa (Kevin) Becker, Ryan (Patricia), Justin, and A.J. (Alexandra). Tony was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Nick, Reed, Riley, Aubrey, Ava, Harper, and Camden, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. Tony was a graduate of Cardinal Gibbons, class of 1977, and although he only completed some college, he was a lifelong learner with an insatiable curiosity. His career at Westinghouse, later Northrop Grumman, was marked by dedication and camaraderie, where he forged friendships that lasted a lifetime. A man of simple pleasures, Tony found joy in the great outdoors, often seen grilling for his family or enjoying a game as an avid Orioles, Capitals, and Ravens fan. Tony also loved lounging by the pool listening to his tunes. His home was filled with laughter and love, especially during gatherings with his beloved wife and their dogs. Tony was known for his witty personality and caring spirit, traits that endeared him to everyone he met. His sense of humor and kindness left a lasting impression, making him a cherished friend and confidant. Survived by his devoted wife Donna, his children, grandchildren, siblings Jeri, Joan, Robert (Leslie), and Richard (Catina), and a large extended family of aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews, Tony’s legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. The Vitek family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Middleton and his staff at the Dove House in Westminster, Maryland, for the compassionate care provided to Tony in his final days. As we bid farewell to Tony, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His memory will forever be a guiding light, reminding us of the power of love, laughter, and family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tony’s honor to BridgingLife. Tribute gifts can be made online at http://www.bridginglifecare.org/make-a-gift. Celebration of life will be on held on August 1, 2026. Information will be forthcoming.
