Obituary of Anthony John Derousseau Anthony John Derousseau, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully in his sleep at home on May 24, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on January 24, 1961, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Anthony lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to those he held dear. Anthony was the cherished son of the late Bernard and Ruth Derousseau, and he held a deep and abiding love for his family. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Katherine (Paul) Stoeberl and Daniel Derousseau. He is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Teresa, who was his partner in life and adventure. Together, they built a beautiful family and created countless memories that will be treasured by all who knew them. Anthony is also survived by his son, James Derousseau and stepson Eli (Molly) Belisle, who were the pride and joy of his life. He was a loving grandfather to his step grandchildren, Alice and Brynn Belisle, who brought immense joy to his days. Anthony's legacy continues through his surviving siblings: Cheryl Derousseau, Greg Derousseau, Loretta (David) Brunclik, Mary Kay Schuld, Renee (James) Sanders, Gisele (Timothy) Svacina, Ann Derousseau, Andre' Derousseau, Jacque' Derousseau, Jennique' (Charles) Crisler, Jahn (Andrea) Derousseau, Angelique' Derousseau, and Montaque' Derousseau, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. A graduate of Rice Lake High School, Class of 1979, Anthony began his career in construction before transitioning to a successful 28-year career in IT, from which he retired. He was known for his incredible work ethic and determination, traits that earned him respect and admiration from his colleagues and friends alike. Anthony had a zest for life and a wide array of interests that brought him happiness and fulfillment. He was a talented woodworker, an enthusiastic beekeeper, and a passionate football fan, always rooting for his favorite team with the cheer, "Go Pack Go!" Above all, Anthony cherished every moment spent with his beloved grandchildren, finding endless joy in their presence. Known for his distinctive, booming voice and infectious laugh, Anthony had a magnetic personality that drew people to him. His love for his family was unparalleled, and he was always ready with a helping hand or a kind word for those in need. A celebration of Anthony's life will be held on June 19, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Somerset American Legion Post 111, located at 464 County Rd V V, Somerset, WI 54025. Friends and family are invited to gather and share stories, laughter, and love in memory of a truly remarkable man. Anthony's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His life was a testament to love and loyalty, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who follow in his footsteps. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of choice in Anthony's honor, reflecting his generous spirit and enduring kindness.
