In Loving Memory

Anthony J. Morgan
November 22, 1933 — September 28, 2026
Anthony J. Morgan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on September 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born at home on November 22, 1933, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Anthony, known as "Tony," lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a boundless curiosity about the world around him. Tony was the son of Edward Clark Morgan and Rosaline Mary McCooey.
On February 23, 1957, Tony married the love of his life, Nancy, and together they shared an adventure of 69 years of marriage. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they created a beautiful family, affectionately referred to as their "tribe of gremlins." Tony is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy, and their loving children: Kathryn (Thomas) Dwyer, Edward Morgan, James (Reguina) Morgan, Suzanne (the late Thomas) Johnson, Paul (Susan) Morgan, Shawn (Christine) Morgan, and Judith (Ron) Coughenour. He was a proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Tony had a long career as a System Analyst, contributing his expertise and dedication to the Pennsylvania Railroad, later Penn Central Railroad and then Conrail. He was a man who thrived on learning and was always eager to understand more about the world.
Tony and Nancy lived in Philadelphia, Haverford, Brigantine, NJ, Elverson and, most recently, in Hollywood, PA. They traveled the world including Japan, Australia, Alaska, Europe and the Panama Canal.
A memorial service to honor Tony's life will be held on October 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Abington Friends Meetinghouse, 520 Meetinghouse Rd, Jenkintown, PA 19046. Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of a life well-lived and a man who was loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Tony's memory to the Salvation Army and at Tony's urging, please vote in the upcoming elections, and vote Democrat.
Anthony J. Morgan will be remembered for his laughter, storytelling (some true, some not so true), his love for his family, and his insatiable curiosity. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
