Anthony J. Forte
July 26, 1934 — March 6, 2026
In loving memory of Anthony J. Forte, a cherished father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, who passed away peacefully at home on March 6, 2026, at the age of 91, after a courageous seven-year battle with Alzheimer's. Born on July 26, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY, Anthony was a man whose life was defined by grace, love, and unwavering devotion to those he cherished.
Anthony was the beloved son of the late James and Theresa Forte, and he was predeceased by his siblings Constance, Vincenza, Jennie, Terry, Rose, Jim, Christopher, Marie, and Carmela. Though he has left this world, his legacy lives on in the hearts of his adored daughter Christine, his treasured granddaughter Tonianne, and his dear nephews Robert and Terry Earley, as well as his great-nephews Jon Peter and Steven Earley.
A proud alumnus of James Madison High School and Brooklyn College, Anthony dedicated his professional career to Marine Transport Lines, where he served as a Marine Purchasing Agent. His work was instrumental in supporting the company's efforts during the MARAD Ready Reserve Vessels operations in both Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Anthony's career was marked by dedication, integrity, and an unyielding commitment to excellence.
Beyond his professional life, Anthony was a man of deep personal warmth and compassion. Known for his kindness and generosity, he was a pillar of strength and resilience, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing him. Anthony's unwavering spirit and selflessness were evident in the way he consistently put others before himself, bringing light and love into the lives of everyone he encountered.
Anthony found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones, particularly his granddaughter, Tonianne, with whom he shared many cherished moments. His home was a sanctuary of love, filled with laughter and the warmth of family and friends.
The family will host a service to honor Anthony's life on March 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Scalia Funeral Home, located at 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10312. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a cause close to your heart, as Anthony would have wanted to continue his legacy of giving and helping others.
Though Anthony's physical presence will be deeply missed, his spirit remains alive in the hearts of those who loved him. As we gather to celebrate his remarkable life, we find comfort in the knowledge that his love and legacy will endure, guiding and inspiring us all.
Rest in peace, dear Anthony. You have touched our lives profoundly, and for that, we are eternally grateful.
