Anthony J. Forte, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on March 6, 2026, at the age of 91. He was surrounded by the love of his devoted daughter Christine and beloved granddaughter Tonianne, concluding a courageous seven-year battle with Alzheimer's.

He grew up in a bustling household alongside his siblings Constance, Vincenza, Jennie, Terry, Rose, Jim, Christopher, Marie, and Carmela, all of whom predeceased him. The Forte family was known for their close-knit bonds and the love they shared, values that Anthony carried throughout his life.
Anthony's academic journey began at James Madison High School, followed by his graduation from Brooklyn College. His career blossomed in the maritime industry, where he served as a Marine Purchasing Agent for Marine Transport Lines. Anthony played an integral role in supporting the company's operations during critical periods such as Operation Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, showcasing his steadfast dedication and professionalism.
Though his career was commendable, it was Anthony's personal life that truly defined him. Known for his strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit, Anthony inspired all who were fortunate to know him. His kindness and generosity were the hallmarks of his character, as he consistently prioritized the needs of others before his own.
Anthony found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially in the company of his family and friends. He cherished the moments spent with his granddaughter Tonianne, whose presence brought him endless happiness and fulfillment. Though he had only one grandchild, the depth of his love and pride for her was boundless.
He leaves behind a legacy of love through his daughter Christine, granddaughter Tonianne, nephews Robert and Terry Earley, and great-nephews Jon Peter and Steven Earley. Though his presence will be deeply missed, the values and memories he imparted will continue to guide and inspire those he loved.
To honor and celebrate Anthony's remarkable life, a service will be held on March 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Scalia Funeral Home, located at 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10312. It will be a time for family and friends to gather, share stories, and remember the extraordinary man who touched so many lives with his kindness and generosity.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Anthony's memory to Alzheimer’s research, in hopes of finding a cure for the disease that he battled so bravely.
Anthony J. Forte will be remembered not only for his accomplishments but for the love and warmth he brought into the world. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
