Born on March 7, 1956, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Anthony's life was a testament to love, perseverance, and unwavering joy.
Anthony's journey began in the heart of New Orleans, where he was welcomed into the world by his loving parents, Tina and Joseph Edwards. He was preceded in death by his parents, his cherished grandparents, Michael and Linda Edwards, his dear aunt Lisa Turner, and his beloved nephew Hunter Davis. Their memories lived on in Anthony's heart, and he often spoke of them with fondness and gratitude.
In 1975, Anthony married the love of his life, Mary Edwards, and together they embarked on a beautiful journey that spanned over fifty years. They settled in North Hill, South Carolina, where they nurtured a loving home and raised two wonderful children, Frank and Tammy Edwards. Anthony's dedication to his family was unwavering, and he poured his heart into creating a life filled with warmth and laughter.
A graduate of Lincoln High School, Anthony found his calling in mechanical engineering and dedicated his career to the Ford dealership, where he worked with integrity and skill. His professional journey was one marked by hard work and a genuine camaraderie with his colleagues.
Beyond his work, Anthony was a man of many passions. He found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing, gardening, and spending time with his cherished family and friends. His warm smile and quick wit were ever-present, always ready to lighten the mood and bring a sense of comfort to those around him.
Anthony was an active member of First Baptist Church, where he found community and spiritual fulfillment. His faith was a guiding light, providing strength and peace throughout his life.
Anthony is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Edwards, their children Frank and Tammy, and his treasured grandchildren, Corneika Cornelius and Corey Dennis, along with a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins. The family takes solace in the legacy of love and laughter that Anthony leaves behind.
In honoring Anthony's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate his life. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Memorial Hermann Hospital for the compassionate care provided during Anthony's illness.
Anthony Edward’s will be remembered as a man who embraced life with open arms, whose laughter was infectious, and whose love knew no bounds. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his memory will be cherished forever.
