April 1, 2000 — April 22, 2026

Anthony Connolly, a cherished son, colleague, and friend, peacefully transitioned into his "ultimate PTO: Perpetual Time Off" on April 22, 2026, at the young age of 26. Born on April 1, 2000, in the vibrant town of BezosTown, Anthony lived a life filled with humor, strategic leisure, and an unwavering commitment to his unique philosophy of doing just enough. Anthony was the beloved son of Erick "Papi" De La Garza Estrada and Makayla "Big Dawg" Jackson, who nurtured his spirit of strategic effort minimization and stood by him as he courageously embodied his philosophy throughout his life. He leaves behind a loving family, including his dear friends Eddie Ocampo and Diego Flores, who will forever cherish the moments shared with him. Though Anthony was humorously "married to his job," his true passion lay in his dedication to the art of expectation management. With a Master's Degree in BS from Amazon University, Anthony carved out a remarkable career as a Trainer for the ALD, Line Haul Field-TOM-VAR. His tenure at Amazon, from his early days as a Fulfillment Associate to his role as a Trainer, showcased his unique ability to maintain plausible deniability of productivity while ensuring he never missed a deadline. His colleagues fondly remember his unmatched talent for creatively fluffing accomplishments in "New SoCal Labor Planning" and his artful management of unread Slack notifications and emails. Anthony's hobbies were a reflection of his life philosophy. He was an avid collector of moments spent waiting for his food to heat up in the microwave, and he took great joy in perfecting the art of blowing up the only bathroom in the classroom. His strategic approach to effort minimization was not laziness but rather a discipline he cultivated with precision. Anthony's life was a testament to his philosophical consistency and low intrinsic motivation for conventional output. His deliberate rejection of hustle culture and overachievement was both inspiring and enlightening. In his passing, Anthony leaves behind a legacy of humor, thoughtfulness, and a reminder that life is about enjoying the little things while maintaining a healthy balance between work and leisure. A service to celebrate Anthony's life will be held on April 22, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Amazon ONT9 ACES Building, located at 2125 W San Bernardino Ave., Redlands, CA 92374. Friends, family, and colleagues are invited to gather in remembrance of Anthony's unique spirit and the laughter and joy he brought into their lives. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Anthony's memory are encouraged to embrace his philosophy of doing just enough and find joy in the small moments that make life meaningful.
