Anthony Caldwell, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, at the age of 64, after courageously facing a long history of illnesses. Born on March 28, 1962, in the vibrant city of Birmingham, Alabama, Anthony's life journey was marked by his unwavering spirit, infectious smile, and the warmth he brought to everyone around him.
Anthony was the cherished son of Robert Westmoreland and Willie Mae Caldwell. He is predeceased by his brother, Pete Caldwell, and is survived by his loving family: his ex-wife, Denise R. Caldwell; their beloved daughter, Lakitha S. Caldwell; and his sons, Anthony Jr. Caldwell, Antory Caldwell, Antoine Caldwell, Andre Caldwell, and daughters, Amoni Caldwell and Aliyah Caldwell. Anthony's legacy also lives on through his 7 adoring children, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. His sister, Jaccquelyn Caldwell, and his dear friend, Cathy Laflore Donnerson, were steadfast companions throughout his life.
Anthony's professional life was marked by his skill and dedication as a painter. For many years, he brought color and vibrancy into the lives of those he served, a reflection of his own colorful spirit. A member of the New Guiding Light Baptist Church in Pasadena, California, Anthony found joy and fellowship within his church community, enriching the lives of those around him through his faith and kindness.
Beyond his work and faith, Anthony had a passion for old school music and cooking, hobbies that brought joy to both himself and those fortunate enough to share in these moments. His ability to create a welcoming atmosphere was unparalleled, as his beautiful smile and genuine care for others made him a beloved figure among family, friends, and acquaintances alike.
A service to honor and celebrate Anthony's remarkable life will be held on June 19, 2026, at 12:30 PM at the Truckee Meadows Funeral Home, located at 619 S Wells Ave, Reno, Nevada 89502. Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects, sharing stories and memories of a man who touched the lives of many.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Alpine Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, as well as all of Anthony's nurses, techs, and doctors, for their compassionate care and support during his final days.
Anthony Caldwell's legacy is one of love, warmth, and resilience. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
