December 29, 1975 — April 22, 2026

It is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anthony Allen Horta, who left this world on April 22, 2026, at the age of 50. Born on December 29, 1975, in the small and close-knit community of Globe, Arizona, Anthony's life was a testament to love, selflessness, and unwavering faith. Anthony was the beloved son of Edward C. Horta and Rebecca B. Horta, who have both predeceased him, along with his cherished sisters, Antonia (fondly known as Ortie) and Lorena, and his dear nephew, Leonard (Lenny) Aceves. Although Anthony faced the profound loss of his family members, he remained resilient, drawing strength from his deep knowledge and understanding of the Bible, which was a source of comfort and guidance throughout his life. Anthony was a man of admirable character, known for his hard work and the warm smile that could light up any room. His heart was as generous as it was kind, always willing to go without so that others could have what they needed. His life was a living example of compassion and selflessness, consistently putting the needs of others before his own. Anthony's journey was not without its challenges, as he bravely battled mental illness. Despite this, he remained a beacon of hope and kindness to those around him, teaching us all the importance of reaching out and helping others, often in ways that required great personal sacrifice. A man of strong faith, Anthony was deeply knowledgeable in the teachings of the Bible, often sharing verses and spiritual insights with those who sought his counsel. His devotion to his faith was unwavering, and he found solace and purpose in helping others find their own paths to peace and understanding. The legacy Anthony leaves behind is one of love, faith, and selflessness. He touched the lives of many, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him. While he may no longer be with us, his spirit will forever inspire us to live with compassion and kindness. Graveside services to honor Anthony's life are pending and will be held at the Globe Cemetery. Family, friends, and all those who were touched by his warmth and generosity are invited to join in celebrating the life of a truly remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to mental health organizations in Anthony's memory, continuing his legacy of helping and caring for others. Rest in peace, dear Anthony. Your life was a blessing, and you will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered.
