Anselmo Murcia

January 12, 1938 — October 14, 2026

Anselmo Murcia, who was born on January 12, 1938, in Granada, Spain, and passed away with his family at his side on October 14, 2026, in Bel Air, Maryland, lived a long and meaningful life. Those who knew him best will remember his humor, his kindness, and the practical skill with which he approached life. He was funny, generous, and handy, and these qualities were evident in the way he cared for others and in the many ways he contributed to his home and family. Anselmo had a wide range of interests that reflected both his energy and his curiosity. He enjoyed soccer and racquetball, He also found great satisfaction in coin and stamp collecting. He was deeply devoted to his family and took great pride in the people he loved. He is survived by his wife, Fanny Murcia, and his daughter, Mercedes Quadrelli. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Isabella and Gabriella Quadrelli. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Frank Quadrelli, whose memory remained an important part of the family’s story. Though he is no longer with us, the impact of his life remains in the hearts of his family and friends, who will carry forward his memory with gratitude and love. "Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me." To honor and celebrate Anselmo's life, a service will be held on October 23, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Chapel, located at 13305 Long Green Pike, Hydes, Maryland 21082. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.
